After “7am Arivu”, when KV Anand requested him to take about three quarters of a year for the shoot of “Maatraan”, Surya obliged and asked Directors Hari and Vetrimaran to wait till he completed “Maatraan”.

While Hari will make a quickie anytime, Vetrimaran will take longer than normal to complete a film.

Surya-Kajal photo shoot for Maatraan

Now the sources say that director KV Anand before going ahead with the music sitting has done a photo shoot session with Kajal and Surya. Aftеr getting dates from Surya and Kajal, the very first thing that the director has called the lead pair to hіѕ office and had done one day shoot, just to check out how the pairing would work out. KV Anand after completing the shoot was very рƖеаѕеԁ as the Surya-Kajal pair looked absolutely stunning. Hе also ԁеѕсrіbеԁ that Surya-Kajal will be the next-mοѕt-happening pair in K’Town!

Surya and Kajal has given around more than eight months of call sheet for KV Anand and there is a lot of hard work that will go into Maatraan. In the initial situation Surya hesitated to give eight months as it will disturb the work of other directors. But Surya managed hіѕ other directors who seemed to have agreed to Surya’s request.

Maatraan on hold

Surya's next Maatraan with KV Anand is scheduled to commence only after his younger brother, Karthi's wedding, which will take place on July 3rd. The wedding will be a traditional, intimate affair with only family and friends attending. A grand reception will be held on July 11th. Surya is very busy with preparations for the wedding.


Since Surya will be busy with the wedding, Maatraan has been postponed for a while. KV Anand was very understanding and accommodating about the whole thing.

Priyanka Chopra thinks Surya is hot

Surya and the 7am Arivu team were shooting in Mumbai, recently. Priyanka Chopra was present in the vicinity and she came over to say hello to cinematographer, Ravi K Chandran, since the two of them have worked together. She enquired about Surya, and said that she has seen him on the cover of a lot of magazines.

Apparently, Priyanka thinks Surya is really hot and one of the best looking men in the country! Looks like Surya has even more fans than he knows!

Surya's Nandha to be dubbed in Telugu

One of Surya earliest critically acclaimed films, Nandha will soon be released in Telugu. Bala had directed this Tamil film back in 2001. Although it was an average grosser at box office, the film propelled Surya's career to greater heights in Tamil cinema. He even won the Tamil Nandu state film award for his acting in the film. The film is about a young man who tries to find a place in the society after he's released from jail for a heinous crime he had committed in his childhood.

Now, the film is being dubbed as Bala-Surya in Telugu. Nagamalla Shankar is producing this dubbed version on Sri Shivashankara Art Productions banner. Yuvan Shankar Raja had composed the music. The film is in post-production stage and will be released in the third week of July. Aditya Music will release the audio sometime later this month or early next month.

‎7am Arivu Audio launch on July 7th

The countdown begins! Yes, the much-awaited audio launch of 7am Arivu will take place on July 7th or 8th. The film’s music director Harris Jayraj has said yesterday that the audio launch will take place in 30 days time.

The expectation for this album has grown manifold because that music director has included a Chinese track, which will be the highlight.

With the audio launch scheduled, the date for the film’s release may not be far off. An official announcement on the music launch date and release date will be made soon.

Surya impressed with Krish Story line!

Critically acclaimed Director Jagarlamudhi Radha Krishna (Krish) has come up with yet another Experimental Script and approached Mahesh and Ramcharan to do film. But both the stars hadn't responded in Positive and Krish approached Surya with same storyline where he got green signal from Hero.
It is heard Surya was impressed with 'Vaanam' film and given green signal for this new film too. It is once again proved that Our Heroes will never do conceptual films and prefer only Commercial films. Krish is getting ready to make the film as bilingual.
