Surya's pair is 21-year-old girl

There were reports that a top Bollywood actress (most probably Sonakshi Sinha or Sonam Kapoor) will be paired opposite Surya in 'Maatran', a film directed by K V Anand and produced by AGS Entertainment.
But the director has denied this saying that he is not planning to rope in any Bollywood heroine. “I have not approached any north Indian actress to act opposite Surya,” the cinematographer-filmmaker says.
And he has a reason too. “Because the heroine character requires a 21-year-old girl. So we are on the lookout of an actress who would fit well to the role,” Anand, who earlier worked with Surya in 'Ayan', says.
Earlier Anand had to refute another media claim that Surya would play Siamese twins in this film. The director denied it as rumours and instead said the actor would appear in five different get-ups.

7am arivu music launch on march 28th

The music launch of film maker Murugadoss' much awaited 7Aum Arivu will take place at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai on March 28, 2011. The film is based on a circus artiste and Surya plays the role of a trapeze artiste cum animal trainer.

The actor has performed all the circus acts himself without using a body double in any of the sequences. Besides his circus acts, the actor will also perform several innovative stunts in the film. A special trainer from Rajkamal Circus was appointed to teach him the jumps and other special items he performs in the movie.
According to sources, Surya is also planning to perform the circus stunts he has learnt during the 7Aum Arivu music launch for his fans.

K.V. Anand’s recent directorial flick Ayan had been very successful at the box office.According to latest news, all is set for Surya and director K.V. Anand to join hands again. The movie is titled as Matraan and will start rolling in March 2011. As known to all, at present Surya is busy with Murugadoss' 7aum Arivu while K.V. Anand is busy directing Ko starring Jiiva and Karthika in the lead roles.
Sources close to the unit confirm that Suriya will be seen playing a unique role of Siamese twins. Well the current news about the project is that director Anand is trying to sign in Bollywood beauty Sonam Kapoor or Sonakshi Sinha as Surya's heroine.

Kamal Hassan – Aascar Ravichandran – Ravi Teja – Suriya?

Kamal Hassan had reportedly planned a film with Aascar Ravichandran which could either have been “Marudhanayagam” or “Thalaivan Irukkiran”, said sources but now the twist in the tale came in the form of Selvaraghavan directing the Universal Hero.

The two big connoisseurs cannot make a film together and might end up in significant ego clashes, say sources. So, this film is not most likely to happen but Kamal Hassan wants to wield the megaphone once again and so has decided to make a film with his own script.

Kamal Hassan has narrated his new script to producer Aascar Ravichandran who is flush with funds to dole out for the high budget film. The “universal hero” wants to make his own film and has also decided to cast “Mohanlal”, “Surya” and “Ravi Teja”.

Kamal Hassan has always identified the best of talents like Madhavan and now he finds Suriya as the best choice for one of the roles he wants him to play along with the best of actors like “Mohanlal” and “Ravi Teja”.

Surya will be appearing in five different roles in Maatraan

Director KV Anand has cleared the airs on the reports stating that Suriya is playing the role of Siamese twins in Maatraan.

KV Anand says “As of now I am not ready to reveal anything about how many roles is Suriya playing in the film. However I can tell you that Suriya will be appearing in five different roles in Maatraan. Adding to this he said “Maatraan will be starting only after the release of KO and the film will give a complete different feel for me and Suriya as it is a challenging script. All the other details will be disclosed only at the time of the launch”.


Director KV Anand is coming up with his most favourite people Suriya, Music director Harris Jayraj and writer Suba again after Ayan. Maatran is shaping under the banner of AGS Entertainment of Kalpathi S Aghoram.
